LIONEL Prewar 253 O-Gauge engine Vintage/Antique. See video running, refurbished

This is a very nice Lionel 253 serviced Great condition. I bought this one and it needed restored, and motor repaired. Cleaned up frame and serviced motor. Now it runs great in both directions. Good wire and manual switch. I list them for what I have in them, cost plus materials. If they say untested you may have problems with running. Runs great is both directions. Service and Has been serviced, Tested and runs. Tested it running in forward and reverse. Antique Prewar Tin Plate Engine. Made in the late 1920’S. Runs F & R, Forward and reverse. LIONEL Prewar 260 engine & Tender 260T 6 wheel trucks, see Video & Pictures

Camera shows it running slow. That is the camera. IT runs fast if you want. This is a Lionel 260E engine and 260T WITH THE 6 WHEEL TRUCKS, I Refurbished it, serviced and Cleaned all the copper/brass. Another one I refurbished. It was in poor condition when I bought it. Needed wheels, rewired, Lots of cosmetic parts missing, has a newer E-Unit with a switch in back to be able to run forward and reverse or switch it to run in one direction only. It run slow to really fast. I went over and cleaned all the brass and copper. Check wheels, Installed new pick ups. Added the missing side rods. I serviced it also. Engine was totally gone over and serviced. When tested ran great. All parts where cleaned and polished that were original. Added new parts that were missing or damaged. It was in very poor condition when I found it. Great show piece and runner. What you see you will get. I had a lot of time and cost of parts in this set. Part are just not. Anymore and when you find them they are very costly. Restore one and see. Tender has 4 wheel trucks. Any other questions please ask. See description & pictures. See pictures of it running. Lionel Prewar New York Central 158 engine refurbished, serviced see video Antique

Found this one in need of lots of help. Needed a lot of work. Need taken apart, cleaned, re-wired, remove dents, strip and repainted shell. Serviced tested and see video of it running. Everything was polished and cleaned. It was totally refurbished and restored the shell and frame, new dummy light, Lot of work but runs and looks great now. Color is Dk Green. If my price seems high I want you to know that I usually put 6-10+ hours of labor restoring it to the condition it is at now. Plus I usually put Fifty to one Hundred ++ dollars in refurbished or new parts. They are almost impossible to find anymore. And are not cheap. Sometimes less sometimes more. If you want one cheaper you may have to repair it and its costly. Even the new parts do not fit and have to be modified. SEE VIDEO OF IT RUNNING. LIONEL Prewar 255 engine & Tender 263T 6 wheel trucks, see Video & Pictures

Engine was totally gone over and serviced. When tested ran great. All parts where cleaned and polished that were original. Added new parts that were missing or damaged. It was in very good condition when I found it. Great show piece and runner. What you see you will get. I had a lot of time and cost of parts in this set. Part are just not available anymore and when you find them they are very costly. Restore one and see. I bought this set that someone painted/restored in Silver. My intent was to restore to gun metal. MY WIFE told me she liked it as it is. She said it looked better than the gun metal or black ones. She called it the Silver Bullet. So I left it Silver because she said others would like it also. I took it all apart and cleaned it, service it and replaced missing parts. Video shows it running. Looks slow but that is my camera. It runs slow to fast believe me. Any other questions please ask.
