Lionel Prewar O Tinplate Black PRR 238 Torpedo Steam Locomotive 265W Tender SS

Lionel pre-war O gauge Model 238 “Pennsylvania Torpedo” steam locomotive and matching tender. Modeled directly after the real-world. A K4 Pacific steam locomotive outfitted in a legendary aerodynamic casing styled by famed industrial designer [Raymond Loewy]. Lionel manufactured this die-cast O gauge model from. Units manufactured between 1936 and 1938 feature a gunmetal gray finish. Models produced between 1939 and 1940 were finished in satin black, matching the version displayed in your image. Prominently displays “PENNSYLVANIA” along the side skirts, the “238” model number beneath the cab window, and a matching sheet metal “waffle top” tender. Lionel Jr Prewar O Gauge 1681 Loco Tender 1680 1677 1682 Train Lot

Vintage Prewar Lionel Jr. O Gauge Train Lot – 1681 / 1680 / 1677 / 1682. For sale is a vintage Lionel Jr. Prewar O/O27 gauge train lot. This lot includes a Lionel Jr. 1680 Sunoco Motor Oil tank car. Also included is a matching-era black Lionel Lines tender. Tender shows vintage wear including paint loss, scratches, edge wear, and oxidation on the coupler. The tender is included as shown and has not been cleaned or restored. The Sunoco tank car shows noticeable oxidation and discoloration but still displays well. The caboose and gondola show paint wear and play wear. I have not attempted to service, clean, or repair it. Please assume it may need cleaning, lubrication, adjustment, or repair. This is a nice lot for a Lionel prewar collector, restoration project, operator, or parts/display lot. Please review all photos carefully before purchasing.

It will look great heading up the blue 2600 series passenger cars available in my other auctions. Baldwin disc drive wheels. Missing one classification light jewel. Vintage Metal Lionel Lines Pre War Tender 1689W 1121-C 1682 1679 1680 2677 Lot

Up for consideration is a nice set of Vintage Metal Lionel Lines Pre War Tender 1689W 1121-C 1682 1679 1680 2677 Lot. Items are in good condition for age but have corrosion, staining, wear. The tender wire insulation underneath is worn off would need new wire soldered in its place or tape where it goes through frame-BUT the tender whistles! I took it apart and cleaned the brushes and armature, and oiled the shafts. The wheels/contacts have some corrosion and could be cleaned more, I just cleaned them enough to work. The switcher/controller is untested-the wire insulation is brittle, broken, exposed-would need new wiring, see photos.. My standard listing lingo, please read in its entirety. Any defects not mentioned in the description, but are visible in the photos, are deemed to have been disclosed. As with any vintage item, it may need cleaning/service to run perfectly and increase longevity. No low or half price offers will be accepted.
