This is a classic Lionel pre-war “O”-gauge locomotive- the # 249E with matching 2265T Tender (non -whistle). Produced in late 1930’s features working box-type coupler. Engine features 2-4-2 wheel arrangement. All metal engine and tender. NICE condition with NO problems or issues. NO missing or damaged parts and everything appears original and intact with no restoration. Wheel flanges all good. Only minor paint chips and scrapes. LIONEL PREWAR O-GAUGE 225E BLACK DIECAST LOCOMOTIVE With2235W WHISTLE TENDER

LIONEL PREWAR O-GAUGE 225E BLACK DIECAST LOCOMOTIVE W/2235W WHISTLE TENDER. This locomotive is in original black finish with Baldwin drivers, 3 position E unit, and two black flag stanchions. The locomotive runs really well headlight works as does the E unit. The tender is the diecast version with large coal load, black journal boxes, nickel handrails box coupler and silver lettering on both sides. This locomotive comes from my static display and has been displaced by it’s brother in the gunmetal gray minus the terrific tender. There was an inquiry about the electric whistle of the tender, the device works well considering its age, it does infact work the coil lifts the contact plate and the impeller / armature spins. At some point the wiring was updated to the desirable flex type and should perform well for a good long time. LIONEL 1666 Pre War Locomotive and 2666W Tender withboxes

A pre war Lionel Steam locomotive and tender. Boxes have internal corrugated piece but no end flaps. #1666- Lionel 2-6-2 “0” gauge steam locomotive. Number plate & 2 piece bell version. Unit runs very well both directions. Does not appear to be a smoke unit. #2666W- Lionel Lines Whistle Tender. Lionel Lines tender shows some minor nicks. Whistle makes noise when activated but does not. Make the familiar Lionel tender sound. Note the early tender coupling type. A nice example of a late 40’s vintage “O” scale locomotive. Lionel Prewar Semi-Scale 2227B Tender. The tender is marked “2227B” on the bottom. This is in very good condition – as seen in the pictures. The bell did ring when tested. The tender has all jewels.
