Thank you for visiting the my Trains-West. I’m very excited to bring you this item. 224E – Lionel Lines 2-6-2 Steam Locomotive with 2689W sheet metal tender. Locomotive is gunmetal color with nickel hardware and nickel driver rims. Paint overall still has luster, a few minor paint chips. The locomotive runs when tested, the whistle motor spins but does not whistle when tested. No box or instructions. This locomotives appearance will improve with a cleaning.

Beautiful original Lionel No. 318 electric locomotive in the highly desirable bright apple green finish. This locomotive retains excellentpaint with attractive brass trim, original “LIONEL” and “318” nameplates, and presents exceptionally well for its age. The body is clean with only light cosmetic wear, including a few minor paint nicks and scratches consistent with age and careful storage. Handrails, trim, and details appear complete and straight. This locomotive was reported to be running properly before it was placed into long-term storage. Please review all photos carefully, as they are an important part of the description and accurately represent the condition of the locomotive. A great opportunity to own a beautiful prewar Lionel Standard Gauge No. 318 for display or operation after inspection.
This is a fantastic set of old trains! Cord on transformer will need to be replaced. Baby Ruth box car; is a 1679, Oil Tanker is a 1680, Caboose is a 1682 and the Locomotive is a 1668E Pre-War O gauge.
Lionel Pre-war O Gauge #249E Steam Locomotive. Runs well forward and reverse. The e-unit stick/skips sometimes. Clean with some light paint wear. Please see photos for condition.

The small black accent piece/eccentric crank that secures the metal rods to the main drive wheel is fractured (clearly documented in the close-up photo). It will require a simple part replacement or repair. Aside from the broken linkage piece, the locomotive is in fantastic cosmetic shape for its age. The undercarriage, gears, wheels, and pick-up rollers are show in the pictures.
