Lionel 224E Loco Diecast Scale Detailed Prewar O gauge X8723
10.25 diecast scale-detailed 2-6-2 loco was made about 1940. It has original black finish, chrome-nickel top trim and side-rods, Baldwin Disc type drive wheels. Finish has light dirt, light edge and detail wear, good front steps, markers and cab-roof corners, should clean to look near-EX. Loco only in listing is original/complete, it ran and reversed, headlight worked when bench tested. A nice, solid, original example. All Items, including N. (new-old-stock), are graded and represented as vintage collectibles. Operational ability and characteristics or completeness of vintage motors, mechanisms, wiring, bulbs etc are not guaranteed. Thank you for visiting the my Trains-West. I’m very excited to bring you this item. 224E – Lionel Lines 2-6-2 Steam Locomotive with 2689W sheet metal tender. Locomotive is gunmetal color with nickel hardware and nickel driver rims. Paint overall still has luster, a few minor paint chips. The locomotive runs when tested, the whistle motor spins but does not whistle when tested. No box or instructions. This locomotives appearance will improve with a cleaning.

Prewar Lionel Gunmetal 224E 224W tender 2652/2654/2657 FREIGHT CARS VG Serviced
These diecast locomotives are powered by AC electricity and come pre-built, with an analog control system and a Three-Rail System gauge. Made by Lionel in the United States, these locomotives are a part of a transportation-themed collection, perfect for hobbyists and collectors interested in model railroads and trains from the 1940s. They engine and tender were serviced and both work properly. The engine is in VG condition but does have a crack in the corner of the casing for the tender attachment. The engine and tender both have some wear and scuffs.

Lionel 224E gunmetal finish prewar locomotive & 1689W tender. Nice clean original loco. I have been running this on my layout, and it runs great FNR all function properly, including the headlight. There is some spotting on the paint typical of this paint. She is a real beauty. The 1689W tender is in great condition also, and pairs nice with the 224E loco. The whistle works fine. There may be small areas of oxidation on either one. The motors and whistles I list are serviced, ready to install and enjoy.
