Vintage Metal Lionel Lines Pre War Tender 1689W 1121-C 1682 1679 1680 2677 Lot

Up for consideration is a nice set of Vintage Metal Lionel Lines Pre War Tender 1689W 1121-C 1682 1679 1680 2677 Lot. Items are in good condition for age but have corrosion, staining, wear. The tender wire insulation underneath is worn off would need new wire soldered in its place or tape where it goes through frame-BUT the tender whistles! I took it apart and cleaned the brushes and armature, and oiled the shafts. The wheels/contacts have some corrosion and could be cleaned more, I just cleaned them enough to work. The switcher/controller is untested-the wire insulation is brittle, broken, exposed-would need new wiring, see photos.. My standard listing lingo, please read in its entirety. Any defects not mentioned in the description, but are visible in the photos, are deemed to have been disclosed. This is a Lionel 2957 Vintage O Prewar New York Central Die-Cast Metal Illuminated Caboose from 1940-42. This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good. One of the corner steps is heavily chipped. The guardrail pieces on both ends are bent. This car shows heavy scratches and paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. This car shows heavy rust on the chassis and trucks. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is not included. Please check the photos for a detailed look at this item.
