This is a pre-war Lionel O27 train set consisting of a black 1668 engine and matching (non-whistle) tender along with two tin-plate cars, a 1680 Shell tanker and a 1679 Baby Ruth box car plus a 1682 Lionel Lines caboose. Set is in very presentable condition and the engine has been bench tested and works well. Set also comes with original boxes (see photo) which are in fair condition (some tears, missing end flaps) that’s to be expected over the years.

It runs forward and reverse. The light works, this model did not have a smoke unit. Not sure what that spot is, but disclosing it. Customer ordered the wrong product or just don’t want it. DO NOT OPEN THE ITEM IF YOU ARE GOING TO RETURN IT! Must be in original box unopened with no damage to the package or packaging (we need to be able to resell that product as new). Items must be in “new, unaltered and unused condition”. Do not tape anything to the item. That is 20% of the items price you paid. Wrong item sent or defective product. If we make a mistake by sending you the wrong item or you get a defective product we will make it right at no cost to you. The bulb for the firebox is present and works.

Includes #217 Caboose in the early color scheme of red sides with peacock roof, brass trim and plates, nickel journals, and correct original box! The car is all original with no touchup or repaint ever. It is in very nice condition showing light wear with only a couple nicks and scuffs throughout as seen. It has all trim intact including original oil label underneath. The original box is nice and square but does have one top flap missing as seen. It has a nice graphic separate sale end label, as seen!
