Set of 3 Excellent Lionel Original Prewar BOXED Blue Comet Passenger Cars. Includes #420 Faye, #421 Westphal, #422 Temple, all in the desirable and iconic Blue Comet Blue colors, and all 3 original boxes. All 3 cars are all original with no touchup or repaint ever. All 3 are very nice, with excellent paint. There are only a few small nicks and scratches throughout. The cars would grade an excellent C7. The cars are the earlier of the Comet cars, with die-cast journals, all of which are intact. All trim is intact on the set. The #422 car has one small dent on the end of the roof. All 3 boxes are correct Blue Comet car boxes, but there are two boxes marked #420. These each have flaps missing on one end only, but all 3 boxes are very solid. This is a very clean, collector grade set of Blue Comet cars! Please examine photos as they are the best description. Great set, do not miss them! Excellent Lionel Original Prewar BOXED Blue Comet Set #396E. A beautiful true original example of Lionel’s most iconic set! Includes #400E Loco, #400T Tender, both in two-tone blue with brass/copper trim, #420 Faye, #421 Westphal, #422 Tempel, all in two-tone blue with brass trim and die-cast journals, and all the original boxes except for the tender box. All pieces are all original with no touchup or repaint ever. The loco is very nice with a slight stretch to the frame. It has great paint with only a couple nicks throughout, and slight wear to the cab roof. The loco has all original wheels, and the motor works, but the wheels bind, so the drive wheels would need to be replaced in order to run. The bright work on the loco is clean and shines well. All 3 cars and the tender are beautiful, with bright clean shiny paint. They are in excellent condition with only a couple nicks throughout. The #422 has one small dent on the end of the roof. All trim is intact on the set. The loco box is nice with the original insert. It is correctly marked #400E Blue, but has later tape on it. It is missing end flaps on one end. All 3 car boxes are correct for the cars, two are marked #420. They are all missing end flaps on one end, but are all complete on the other ends. Excellent Lionel Original Prewar BOXED Set #362. Includes #384 Loco, #384T Tender, both in black with green stripes, #309 Pullman, #312 Observation, both in two-tone Baby State Brown, all the original boxes, and the original set box. All pieces are all original with no touchup or repaint ever. This set is in excellent condition and displays beautifully. It has bright, clean and shiny paint. The loco is very nice with a couple small nicks to the cab roof. It has a great stripe with virtually all paint intact, which is very hard to find. The loco has a slight bow in the frame. The loco is also the much harder to find #384 manual reverse version, and is correct to the set. It has original wheels and runs well. The tender is also very nice with a couple small nicks. Both cars are beautiful, with only a couple small nicks throughout. They both have beautiful paint. All trim is intact on the set. All boxes are correctly marked, and all are excellent. The loco box has the insert, and is missing 2 flaps on one end. The set box is also excellent, with great labels, and all corners intact. It has the correct set number, along with the rare and correct “Ivory Brown” stamping, marking that box specific for this version of the #362 set. Includes #400E Loco, #400T Tender, both in black, #212 wine gondola with 6 split barrels, #219 Peacock crane, #220 tear-cotta searchlight car, #217 red/green caboose, and all 4 original car boxes. All pieces are all original with no touchup or repaint ever. All pieces are in very high-grade condition. The loco is 100% original, including the wheels, and it runs good. The loco and tender both have no scratches, with just a couple tiny nicks throughout. All 4 cars are beautiful, with no scratches and jus a couple fleabite nicks throughout. All gears on the #219 are intact and work. The oil label is intact on the boom. The brass on the searchlights on the #220 are excellent, no tarnish, as good as it gets. The oil label on the #212 is a replacement, and there are two window inserts missing on the #217. All 4 boxes are bricks, with all flaps, and all are correctly marked. There is one split corner on the #219 box. Please examine photos as they are the best description. A great set in amazing condition that could be the centerpiece of your collection, do not miss it!
