I bought this with many problems, Need taken apart, cleaned, re-wired, need couplers, and wheels. Everything was polished and cleaned. It was totally refurbished and restored the shell and frame, lights work, Lot of work but runs and looks great now. Color is Dark Green paint. If my price seems high I want you to know that I usually put 6-10+ hours of labor restoring it to the condition it is at now. Plus I usually put Fifty to one Hundred ++ dollars in refurbished or new parts. They are almost impossible to find anymore. And are not cheap. Sometimes less sometimes more. If you want one cheaper you may have to repair it and its costly. Even the new parts do not fit and have to be modified. Tested it running in forward and reverse. I serviced the motor, Serviced manual reversing switch, Antique Prewar Tin Plate Engine. Made in the 1920’S. Runs F & R, Great runner Forward and reverse. Look at the picture. Decide for your self. Bought it but had much work on the engine, wheels, Pick ups. Cab damage, Frame damaged, wires repainted. IT HAS MANUAL SWITCH FOR FORWARD AND REVERS. WORKS GREAT IN BOTH DIRECTIONS. Vintage/Antique Lionel 150 Prewar 0-4-0 Electric engine. Lionel DK Green Color with red & gold trim. To restore these from almost junk take many hours, parts and finding the old prewar parts are getting very hard to find. I try to save every old part, fix them, and polish them to look good. Like restoring a old car you never get you value of your time. It’s just a hobby to get them back one the road. I do not sell any thing not working. After completed I put a coat of clear coat to protect the decals and prevent rust on hand rails. This one was in real bad condition but now back on the road again. Good wheels and pick ups, and Re wired. Runs slow to fast speed. See VIDEO of it running. Lubed, Over 90 years old. I went over it and serviced it. Repaired and replaced what was needed to make it like it is. New bell and light cleaned up. Runs, Serviced, Very nice runner, lubed, try to used most original parts and cleaned them up, Check out the pictures. See pictures for best description. Ead light that work. Antique Lionel Engine restored by me Completely. I have two listed same type. Lot of time and cost in new parts. NEW PICK UPS, NEW WHEELS. Very nice Lionel Early 248 Nice Prewar/Antique Vintage Lionel Green with Gold inserts, Tin Plate engine Rare type, The 248 only runs in forward. That is how Lionel made it. Has the 248 a die cast head light. I restored the frame and cab and added parts needed. Try to use original parts if I have them. It was really dirty when I got it. I cleaned it, Primed it and painted it. Good wire, Serviced it and it runs great. Made 1927-32 antique/Vintage toy train. With all the trim parts, I tested it. It runs great in only one directions. This type engine only runs in forward only. Look at the pictures and ask questions. Wheels are all new, New wires where needed.. Very nice antique Lionel for you layout or shelf. Sell for what I have in them. See video of it running. If you want one cheaper you may have to restore or repair it your self. Lots of work involved believe me.
