I bought this with many problems, Need taken apart, cleaned, re-wired, need couplers, and wheels. Everything was polished and cleaned. It was totally refurbished and restored the shell and frame, lights work, Lot of work but runs and looks great now. Color is Dark Green paint. If my price seems high I want you to know that I usually put 6-10+ hours of labor restoring it to the condition it is at now. Plus I usually put Fifty to one Hundred ++ dollars in refurbished or new parts. They are almost impossible to find anymore. And are not cheap. Sometimes less sometimes more. If you want one cheaper you may have to repair it and its costly. Even the new parts do not fit and have to be modified. Tested it running in forward and reverse. I serviced the motor, Serviced manual reversing switch, Antique Prewar Tin Plate Engine. Made in the 1920’S. Runs F & R, Great runner Forward and reverse. Look at the picture. Decide for your self. Bought it from someone who started to restore it and gave up. They painted the frame and shell & decals only. I did the trim. Added the bell and light and serviced the motor. They do not know how to finish or where to get parts. Under the lights colors get lighter. Vintage/Antique Lionel 153 Prewar 0-4-0 Electric engine.. See Video of it running. I do not sell untested engines. Everything I sell has been serviced and runs. Some one asked me about sparks under the engines when running. If you add a few drops of oil to the side of the roller they will make better contact and not spark. Runs slow to fast speed. See last pictures of it running. Lubed, Over 90 years old. Check out the pictures. See pictures for best description. Ead light that work. Look at the pictures and ask questions.
