LIONEL Prewar 154 Black, restored, read description

Bought it but had much work on the engine, wheels, Pick ups. Cab damage, Frame damaged, wires repainted. IT HAS MANUAL SWITCH FOR FORWARD AND REVERS. WORKS GREAT IN BOTH DIRECTIONS. Vintage/Antique Lionel 150 Prewar 0-4-0 Electric engine. Black restored by me. To restore these from almost junk take many hours, parts and finding the old prewar parts are getting very hard to find. I try to save every old part, fix them, and polish them to look good. Like restoring a old car you never get you value of your time. It’s just a hobby to get them back one the road. I do not sell any thing not working. This 154 Engines runs only in both I when over this engine and re-painted the shell and frame. After completed I put a coat of clear coat to protect the decals and prevent rust on hand rails. This one was in real bad condition but now back on the road again. Good wheels and pick ups, and Re wired. Runs slow to fast speed. See VIDEO of it running. Lubed, Over 90 years old. I went over it and serviced it. Repaired and replaced what was needed to make it like it is. New bell and light cleaned up. Runs, Serviced, Very nice runner, lubed, try to used most original parts and cleaned them up, Check out the pictures. See pictures for best description. Ead light that work. Gauge Locomotive & 3 Car Set – see full description. This set consists of an 8e Std, gauge Locomotive, a 332 Baggage Car, a 339 Pullman Coach, and a 341 Observation Car. The locomotive has been tested and operates correctly in forward and reverse. Both headlamps are functioning and the direction/eunit cycles correctly. It’s been repainted, (a decent job). All trim is intact and in very nice condition. All 3 pieces of rolling stock have been repainted(fairly decent job), lighting works in all 3 cars and all trim and graphics, including windows glass, are in very nice condition. Overall condition of this set, is excellent, both mechanically and electrically. Everything has been checked and lubricated, and it should last for another 90+ years. Thank You for your interest. NO SLOT IN FRAME OR SHELL AND NO MOUNTING BRACKET? So I just wanted to note that. Vintage/Antique Lionel 150 Prewar 0-4-0 Electric engine. Dark green restored by me. Prewar Lionel 254 Locomotive & 610 610 612 Passenger Cars Runs See Description

For your consideration is a decent looking 254 Engine with two Pullman and one Observation car as seen in pictures. This set will need a little cosmetic work but engine runs good in both directions. Engine should be rewired before using it but I prefer my stuff original so I never messed with it since it was basically just a display piece for me. Paint condition is fair to good – SEE PICTURES! Overall I would call this set a little better than average condition but it is really hard to grade Prewar metal trains because everyone’s expectations are slightly different. We are getting ready to downsize and it is time for me to start letting some of the things from our past go! I never thought I would sell off my trains but as you get older you realize you can’t keep everything. Now it is time for someone else to enjoy some of my prized possessions like these trains from my train collection. LIONEL Prewar 254 engine Vintage, Mostly original Read description see pictures

Trying to finish up my last few old prewar engines that I still have laying around before I give it up. Then have some in my private collection. If my price seems high I want you to know that I usually put 6-10+ hours of labor restoring it to the condition it is at now. Plus I usually put Fifty to one Hundred dollars in refurbished or new parts. Sometimes less sometimes more. If you want one cheaper you may have to repair it and its costly. Even the new parts do not fit and have to be modified. It is a very nice Lionel 254 in Great condition. Bought this awhile ago as original but did not run and need to be cleaned up and parts missing. I left the shell as is still very nice. Frame was cleaned and all parts cleaned & polished, some missing so any missing parts I replaced. Motor did not run. It was rewired and serviced. Lights work run great. See pictures of it running. I do not think this one was. Runs great is both directions. See three pictures of it running. Has been serviced, Tested and runs. See picture running is forward and reverse. I serviced the motor, Serviced manual reversing switch, Antique Prewar Tin Plate Engine. Made in the late 1920’S. Lionel 249e Prewar Locomotive w/2265W Tender. This is a matching pair thats been gently cleaned, sanitized, completely serviced and test operated. The Locomotive motor has been serviced and it runs very smoothly in forward and reverse. The headlamp functions as depicted in the photos. Cosmetically the paint is very nice with only some minor nicks and scratches, all the nickel trim is intact and in excellent condition. The Tender trucks have been serviced and rewired and the whistle motor has been serviced and the whistle is very good. Cosmetically it has some scratches and missing paint on the front of the chassis but no dents , and the nickel handrails and ladder are all intact. Thank You for your interest. They have been restored in the past by someone. Looks like a coat of over spray or clear was also put on them. All good wheel & couplers in good condition. Two cars have new wire to lights. No light in the baggage car. Best I can do to explain there condition. Paint job OK but not perfect. I do not know who or when it was restored by. Found these cars at a estate sale.
