LIONEL Prewar 260 engine & Tender 260T 6 wheel trucks, see Video & Pictures
Camera shows it running slow. That is the camera. IT runs fast if you want. This is a Lionel 260E engine and 260T WITH THE 6 WHEEL TRUCKS, I Refurbished it, serviced and Cleaned all the copper/brass. Another one I refurbished. It was in poor condition when I bought it. Needed wheels, rewired, Lots of cosmetic parts missing, has a newer E-Unit with a switch in back to be able to run forward and reverse or switch it to run in one direction only. It run slow to really fast. I went over and cleaned all the brass and copper. Check wheels, Installed new pick ups. Added the missing side rods. I serviced it also. Engine was totally gone over and serviced. When tested ran great. All parts where cleaned and polished that were original. Added new parts that were missing or damaged. It was in very poor condition when I found it. Great show piece and runner. What you see you will get. I had a lot of time and cost of parts in this set. Part are just not. Anymore and when you find them they are very costly. Restore one and see. Tender has 4 wheel trucks. Any other questions please ask. See description & pictures. See pictures of it running. Part are just not available anymore and when you find them they are very costly. Restore one and see. I bought this set that someone painted/restored in Silver. My intent was to restore to gun metal. MY WIFE told me she liked it as it is. She said it looked better than the gun metal or black ones. She called it the Silver Bullet. So I left it Silver because she said others would like it also. I took it all apart and cleaned it, service it and replaced missing parts. Video shows it running. Looks slow but that is my camera. It runs slow to fast believe me. Any other questions please ask. I bought it to complete. Has a solid brass steam chest I painted, New side rods there were non, several new wheels, Needed to be rewired, Missing front boiler, and did not run. I spent a lot of hours getting it completed.

Had in my collection LOOKS ALL ORIGINAL, Read on. The 259E with lever on top of cab. If my price seems high I want you to know that I usually put 6-10+ hours of labor restoring it to the condition it is at now. Plus I usually put Fifty to one Hundred dollars or more in refurbished or new parts. Sometimes less sometimes more. If you want one cheaper you may have to repair it and its costly. Even the new parts do not fit and have to be modified. This one was nice and original so I save it. I found a gun metal tender I had and added it. Color is a little lighter but still look good. Antique Prewar Tin Plate Engine. Made in 1930’s. Runs F & R, Great runner Forward and reverse. Look at the picture. Decide for your self. SEE PICTURE OF IT RUNNING. Trying to finish up my last few old prewar engines that I still have laying around before I give it up. Then have some in my private collection. If my price seems high I want you to know that I usually put 6-10+ hours of labor restoring it to the condition it is at now. Even the new parts do not fit and have to be modified. It is a very sharp Gray 152 Lionel restored by me. The 152 Run in one direction only. They never had a reversing switch only the Similar 152 did. Very sharp looking engine. I had clean all the brass, Great wheels, serviced and rewired, lights. Lube and replace brushes. I put a coat of clear on to protect the decals. Runs great in both directions. See three pictures of it running. Has been serviced, Tested and runs. See picture running is forward and reverse. I serviced the motor, Serviced manual reversing switch, Antique Prewar Tin Plate Engine. Made in the late 1920’S. Runs F & R, Great runner Forward and reverse. Look at the picture.
