I bought this at a train show because it was original with the 6 wheel trucks. Rare find especially in this condition. I just cleaned it up some. Lionel 255E Vintage O Prewar 2-4-2 Tinplate Steam Locomotive & 263W Tender. Here is a Custom Painted Lionel 255E 2-4-2 Gun-Metal Steam Locomotive and 2263W Gun-Metal Tender from 1935-36. The locomotive motor and 3-position E-unit have been tested and work fine. The headlight works as well. It has a red fire box glow light, full set of driving rods, shiny nickel handrails, steam domes, stack and trim. Antique Vintage Lionel 80+ years old. One of the few left I had just finished restoring. I just finish going over it. It wasn’t running and missing some part. The engine was in terrible shape. Tender looks original and close in color. Most original parts cleaned and used. Had to replace some others. One of the best I heard. I serviced it, Some new parts, Some new wires, Has the. Reveres and works great. I test ran it for 15 Min. Added the missing parts and serviced it. I have a 263 WT to go with it. Tested the whistle and it worked. Running out of engines and tenders. Lionel Prewar 763e Hudson Steam Loco 4-6-4 with 263W Oil Tender

This Scale Lionel 763e Hudson Steam Locomotive & Vanderbilt 263W Oil Tender are in very good condition, produced in 1937-38 era making it a true vintage Prewar model. The engine is very clean for its age only showing signs of lite usage. Contact rollers and wheels are in good condition with minor ware but could use some cleaning and lubing. The tender is also in very nice condition although it looks like some work has been done to the whistle. We are not capable of testing so please review the pics and judge for yourself. A great addition for your prewar collections. HAVE NOT serviced or tested this set prior to listing to determine the operating condition. All descriptions are our opinions.
