Vintage Lionel Prewar #262 O Gauge 2-4-2 Steam Locomotive Black with Copper Trim

For sale here I have the LIONEL 262E along with the 262T coal tender that are in the combo of black paint and copper trim. The locomotive is equipped with a reversing mechanism located within the cab, also a bight headlight and flag holders up front. The locomotive runs out real well, it is free of excessive lubricant’s and no grime. The paint finish is really nice with minimal paint loss, reference the photos please. The roof line of the cab is nicely rounded, the boiler front latch is sound and working. The copper accents a bit dull but are without dents, the handrails are properly shaped and the bell with ornamental whistle are intact. Both the locomotive and the tender are free of rust, I find no paint touch work, please note the drive rod of the engineer side has miner flaking of the nickel finish, finally one of two green marker lens is missing as is one handrail anchor.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-5: Good based on visual appearance. Some of the stanchions are coming loose, causing the hand rails to bend slightly. This model appears to be repainted. There are bubbles and texture in the paint throughout. This model shows a few nicks, scratches and small spots of paint loss throughout. One decorative flag is missing from the locomotive. The brass trim pieces are discolored and tarnished. There is wear and tarnish on the wheels & pickups from previous use. There is light surface rust on the axles and parts of the underframe. This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. A few spots appear to be repainted. There is a difference in texture and spots of streaking in the paint on the locomotive. There is tarnish and discoloration on the brass trim pieces. Lionel Prewar Two Tone Green #9E 2-4-2 Electric Locomotive Reproduction with Lionel’Build A Motor’ in Original Box. Instructions and Pamphlets are included too but I think they are reproductions. In my opinion the two tone green Girard colors are the most attractive of the colors the 9e was produced in and the’Build A Motor’ is more desirable than the’Super Motor’ variation. This shows very minor evidence of having been run and is excellent condition. I will pack the original box in an outer box. I will include EXTRA Bulbs. Two last closes ups at the end show were it was touched up on the bottom. Minimal signs of use and having been run. Lionel Prewar Two Tone Green #9E 2-4-2 Electric Locomotive Reproduction

C-8 Lionel Standard Gauge 9E 2 tone green 2-4-2 electric engine. The engine is in great condition, and looks great, as if it was never used. This is a modern Lionel reproduction of a fairly rare, circa 1931 or 1932, Lionel engine. It appears to match an original in the details including the color, trim, and a Build-a-Loco motor. This is the later 9E with a low roof and a 2-4-2 wheel arrangement. It has been displayed on a shelf. I tested it and it runs fine but could use a little lubrication. The one coupler is bent but should still work.
