This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There are light nicks, scratches, and spots of surface rust on both the locomotive and tender. Both the locomotive and tender show a few spots of paint wear, chips, and abrasions. The overall appearance of these items may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. Box coupler included is broken and missing the black portion. The wheels show signs of wear from previous use. The instruction manuals and original boxes are not included. Lionel Prewar O Gauge #264e And #264t Red Comet Very Nice Set

LIONEL PREWAR O GAUGE RESTORED #264E AND #264T RED COMET set from the 1930’s. It barely lurched forward and backward and then hummed. It seemed to be off balance? The condition I would say is Excellent, but please, please look at the photos and ask any questions to help you make your own evaluation. ALL items come from a smoke free home and have been carefully displayed or stored in a climate controlled environment. ALL items will be carefully packaged for their protection. Please check my other train, toy, and comic book auctions that will be ongoing. I set up a small temporary way to test the engines in a simple fashion. Because the gentleman was a collector of primarily high grade items, I expect most if not all of these items to function but due to long term display I strongly recommend oil/lube/service for them all. Please look at the photos and ask all the questions you like. This collection is endless with thousands of items. Lionel Pre-War O-gauge RED 264E Commodore 265W Tender

Lionel prewar red Commodore Vanderbilt locomotive and tender. Both pieces are original and appear to be complete. The tender has a sticker on the underside stating it has been restored, so I will assume the locomotive has been restored as well. I do not have the ability to test it, but it appears to have all the internet components. I simply do not know. I have the corresponding passenger cars that I will list when I get a chance. Beautifully restored Lionel 6511E passenger set. The set includes a 264E locomotive a 265W tender two illuminated 1685 transition pullmans and a illuminated 1687 transition observation car. All pieces were dismantled stripped and repainted. The 264E engine was serviced runs forward and back. The whistle in the tender works but is weak. The rare 1685 Ives Lionel transition cars are over 12 long. Happy to answer any questions. Lionel 264E Red Comet Loco 265T Tender 1936 Prewar O Gauge X3679

1936 variation Commodore Vanderbilt loco made for Red Comet Set. It has some new wiring, possibly a replaced E-unit reverse, does not have shut-off switch showing, but is in ON position and worked/reversed when tested. Unusual example because the diecast cab is solid, no fatigue, but casting and loco do have overall playwear as shown. Includes matching 265T non-whistling tender. Loco and tender, 16.5 long together. Tender coupler looks like a replacement. Very hard to find with a solid cab casting. All Items, including N. (new-old-stock), are graded and represented as vintage collectibles. Operational ability and characteristics or completeness of vintage motors, mechanisms, wiring, bulbs etc are not guaranteed. We do not guarantee coupler operation.
