Lionel Pre War #258 Locomotive And Whistle Tender Set. Tested See Description

This locomotive has been serviced, cleaned, lubricated and tested. The 258 was made in 1941 only. It features a tin gunmetal gray body with a 3 position e unit and working headlight with red markers. It also has a whistle tender that has been tested. Also included are 2 cars 1 oil tanker and 1 caboose Please look closely at all pictures. This is a train that is over 80 years old and has scratches and missing paint and the caboose has some rust spots. The locomotive runs and operates smoothly. The whistle tender also operates well.

Clean Post War Lionel 2671W 12 Wheel Whistle Tender

Post war Lionel 2671W 12 wheel tender with whistle. Appears to be lightly used and in C7 excellent condition. Shell is complete with Steps. No cracks, no breaks and no melt marks. Picked up at a local estate sale and was told it’s been untouched since the 1950’s so I would highly recommend it be serviced prior to returning to regular use. I did test it and it does work but needs oiled at a minimum however as stated above I think a full cleaning and servicing should be done. These are getting a little harder to find in this condition so don’t sleep on this.

Lionel PreWar 225E Loco & Whistle Tender, 1938-42

Lionel PreWar #225E 2-6-2 Locomotive with #2245W Whistle Tender from 1938 to 1942 production years. Note: Second last bottom of tender incorrectly stamped “2224T” – frame may have been switched while trucks & whistle from a 2245W or a 2224W (identical metal tenders) were added over the past 80 yrs… Prewar mystery since this was not in my family and do not know the full history. Layout Tested, Oiled, Cleaned and Lubed to run well and operate as designed.

514 Lionel 226 Steam Locomotive 2226WX 12 Wheel Whistle Tender O Gauge Diecast

514 This loco runs forward, reverse and lights when using test wires. The paint has some scratches, along with dirt & grime. Worst of all, the cab’s lower cross brace that is just behind the trailing truck has broken off and is missing. I’ve owned this engine for over 25 years and only noticed this now when cropping these photos. The boiler front does not secure shut, is missing two green jewels and there is a little crack in the glass lens. The whistle tender is re-wired using super-flex wire and sounds good. The coupler solenoid clicks out when powered. The drew bar comes off easily and has a little bend to it. The tender is silver rubber stamped “2226WX”. The “X” appears to have been factory painted over in a failed attempt to cover it. The black color paint matches the tender frame black and I can feel the paints ridges.

Engine has been serviced and it runs. Tender has new wiring and has been serviced. Cars are good condition, tank car railings are loose. I will send fully insured. Customer ordered the wrong product or just don’t want it. DO NOT OPEN THE ITEM IF YOU ARE GOING TO RETURN IT! Must be in original box unopened with no damage to the package or packaging (we need to be able to resell that product as new). Items must be in “new, unaltered and unused condition”. Do not tape anything to the item. That is 20% of the items price you paid. Wrong item sent or defective product. If we make a mistake by sending you the wrong item or you get a defective product we will make it right at no cost to you.
