This is a classic tinplate passenger car with original lithographed / painted body, metal trucks, and desirable surviving details that collectors look for. Type: Pullman passenger coach. Material: Lithographed / painted tin body with metal trucks. Original interior: Appears present. Original lubrication / instruction decal: Present (excellent sign of originality). Includes: Old section of rail for display (no original box). Overall condition is consistent with age and use. Paint wear, scratches, and surface marks throughout. This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. This item functioned when tested however a clicking noise could be heard while this item was being run. There are light nicks and scratches on the surface of the shell and chassis. There are spots of paint loss and discoloration across the surface of the locomotive and tender. There is some discoloration on this item’s metal name plates. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is not included. Please check the photos for a detailed look at this item. Here is a Lionel 260E Vintage O Prewar 2-4-2 Tinplate Steam Locomotive w/ 260T Tender from 1930-34. The engine is complete with all of the copper domes, railing and piping, full compliment of clean driver hardware, headlight, red firebox glow light and brass plates. It has a 3-position E-unit. The tender comes complete with black Type V stamped metal trucks and a latch coupler. Please see my pictures for additional features. Beautifully restored prewar set that includes Lionel 258 locomotive 262T tender 804 tanker 529 Pullman and a 530 observation cars. All pieces dismantled stripped and repainted. The 258 has a manual reverse switch in the cab runs forward and reverse. The set comes with aftermarket front cow catcher and flags.
