Lionel 6 Steam Locomotive Standard Gauge, NYC & HRR, original condition with gunmetal or bluing color body and wider rim wheels. Some corrosion, chips, scratches and marks but overall very nice looking for around 110 years old. Lionel Prewar 8976 0-6-0 Switcher 227 With 2227b Pennsylvania Tender Project

Here’s what I know. Markers are intact, engine runs, e-unit works but sometimes the engine needs to be shaken front/to-back to get the sequencing started.. Valve rods, top and bottom stirrups, and bottom stirrup hex rivets are incorrect. The heads on these hex rivets should be thin, but what’s here are thick, to the point of the drive rods rubbing against them when it runs. Not sure if flaking drive rods are original. Valve rod on right side of engine (from engineer’s point of view) does not move back and forth. On the other side, the stirrup which I believe was press-fitted into the valve gear support is super-glued in place. One or several of these issues cause the engine to bind when running. I have to rotate the wheels manually to correct things, but not sure which is causing the binding. The two intermediate gears between the three geared drive wheels seem a little loose on their posts but don’t cause any binding. The front coupler is missing the hook, and the wire to activate it is loose. 227 on boiler front of engine. 2227B tender lettering is faded one side. Bell works most the time and light works. Not sure if plugs are original, and the rubber grommets for them are missing. Maybe this one is best as a shelf piece. That means I will point out any flaws I may find, so you won’t have any negative surprises when your item arrives. If that is the case, please just let me know, and I will make it right! Lionel Prewar O Gauge 249E Steam Locomotive & 265W Tender. This engine was tested and ran well with working whistle tender as shown in the video. The E-unit is a little sticky. LIONEL PRE-WAR WWII 259E (ENGINE & TENDER) 5 Cars O Gauge (1933-1942)

Vintage 1930s-40s pre war ww2 Lionel train set complete close to plug and play but needs tlc as it is 80+ years old. Train engine lights up and seems to run when I put 12v 1.5a on it with my variable dc power supply. 1259E engine car with paired / matched tender car. 3 passenger cars middle car has broken coupler and end car has none as made on the end. 1 shell tanker car. 1 untested American flyer transformer, looks like accessory power nut and stud snapped off. 14 Lionel straight track with power adapter. 21 curved track mixed Lionel and American flyer I think. The 5 American flyer tracks are rougher and have missing cross members or are slid.

Lionel Prewar 1666 Engine & Tender With Passenger Cars

FOR SALE IS A LIONEL PREWAR 1666 LOCOMOTIVE AND TENDER WITH SIX CARS. THE LOCOMOTIVE IS NICE AND CLEAN WITH ALL PARTS INTACT. FRONT JEWLS ARE REPLACEMENT. LOCOMOTIVE WAS TRACK TESTED AND WORKS AS IT SHOULD RUNNING NICELY IN FORWARD AND REVERSE. E UNIT WORKED AS IT SHOULD. THE TENDER IS A 2666 AND HAS BEEN MODIFIED AS SEEN IN PICTURES. COMES WITH THREE PASSENGER CARS TWO 1630 AND A 1631 IN GOOD CONDITION. ALSO A 1682CABOOSE-1679 BABY RUTH AND A 1680 TANK CAR ALL IN GOOD CONDITION. A NICE LITTLE SET UP WITH A GOOD LOOKING AND RUNNING 1666 LOCOMOTIVE.

Lionel 261E Vintage O Prewar 2-4-2 Steam Locomotive & Tender

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. Both items have been re-painted. The locomotive is non-functional. The locomotive is missing the flag pieces form the boiler front. The locomotive and tender show scratches and spots of paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. Both items show rust throughout various sections of the chassis and trucks. This item has been inspected by our repair shop.
