LIONEL PREWAR O GAUGE SET #296 ELECTRIC LOCOMOTIVE 253 & 2-607, 608 PASSENGER CARS -NICE. Loco tested and works good both direction with 1 working headlight & 1 not. 1 Passenger car does not light up. All locomotives, tenders, operating accessories, operating cars and mechanical parts must be serviced & lubricated before use. Condition is very good – as seen in the pictures. Some wear, scratches, typical for this age of the trains.

Offered for sale is this vintage Lionel electric locomotive set # 296 first released in 1924 with three passenger cars. The locomotive model is #253 and the passenger cars are #2-607 and #2-608. The set is in working order and is ready to use. It features an analog control system and light function. The locomotive is made of tin and metal with a peacock color. All window trim and doors are present. The wheel configuration is 0-4-0 and the gauge is O. This is a prewar model with a three-rail system. The set was made in the United States and is a great addition to any model railroad collection. Part of a static display for last 40+ years. Lionel Jr Junior Prewar O Tinplate 1681E Steam Locomotive, Tender & 3 Pass Cars

Engine runs good in both directions and light. Drive gear was replaced, unit was rebuilt. The cars have brown roof. All cars and engine have paint missing. New couplers were installed, Nothing broken See PhotosSold as is.
