Trying to finish up my last few old prewar engines that I still have laying around before I give it up. Then have some in my private collection. If my price seems high I want you to know that I usually put 6-10+ hours of labor restoring it to the condition it is at now. Plus I usually put Fifty to one Hundred dollars in refurbished or new parts. Sometimes less sometimes more. If you want one cheaper you may have to repair it and its costly. Even the new parts do not fit and have to be modified. It is a very nice Lionel 254 in Great condition. Bought this awhile ago as original but did not run and need to be cleaned up and parts missing. I left the shell as is still very nice. Frame was cleaned and all parts cleaned & polished, some missing so any missing parts I replaced. Motor did not run. It was rewired and serviced.
