There is no tender. This is for the locomotive only. This is one nice engine that is running and reversing. This came from a collection from a man who loved the 385e and he 1835e (essentially the same engine with a few differences). It is likely that he changed some cosmetic parts to create a special piece in his collection–a cosmetic hybrid of the 1835e and 385e. It is black like the 1835e with the copper and brass trim found on the 385e rather than the nickle trim found on 1835e. THIS unit is an original Lionel unit from the 1930s which the previous owner has customized. I have a few other standard gauge pieces in our other listings right now including 385e, and an 1835 with tender and and passenger cars. THIS unit is an. The engine works really smooth and reverses great, it was serviced a while ago and still runs good. Very little frame growth that I can see, the boiler front is very close to the body with just a little gap. Comes with everything shown. Was on my shelf display for years.
