O Gauge Lionel 1688E Torpedo Loco Gunmetal Gray Prewartested Runs. The light works the lanterns on the side work and the only thing that doesn’t work sometimes is the E unit sometimes it sticks and takes a few try’s to get it to flip engine to throw it and the locomotive is coming with a set of 4 pre war cars to go with it the tender of the engine has been repainted and the engine has been rewired. This is the Lionel prewar “O” gauge 1688-E Torpedo Locomotive. It has a 2-4-2 wheel arrangement. The engine has a working headlight and side marker lights. Engine and tender are gray color. The engine HAS been serviced and tested and runs fine. Reverse unit works cleanly. The tender is the # 2689W Whistle Tender. It HAS also been serviced and tested. Engine and tender are both all metal. Very nice condition with NO rust or damage. Everything original and unrestored. Mid 1930s uncataloged streamlined passenger set includes diecast black 1688E and 1689T with hook coupler, plus 8-wheel fluted metal red enameled cars with connecting vestibules. L&T are about 16 long, cars are 8 to 9 each, replacement coupler on head car, otherwise set looks original/complete. Car finish is nice/shiny clean, but has some wear, mainly edges and details. Loco also has edge and detail wear, tender is a shade better. Includes interior loco box only, no end flaps, has Special Claim ticket attached, possibly dated 1937. Set box is dated 1936 has complete flaps, shows wear, mainly edges, has complete end-label. Uncommon LL Jr set. All Items, including N.
