Lionel OO Train Set High Detail 3 Rail With Original Boxes & Track Prewar

This is a High Detail 3 Rail set W/ Original Boxes, packing & Track. I believe some of the boxes may not have been original to this set. There are price stamps and writing on a couple that lead me to believe that someone was trying to fill in the missing boxes for the set. Also, the boxcar is a 0044 (2 rail high detail) and will run on 3 rail, but does not make it a 0080 set. (Which I believe someone was attempting to assemble). I consulted some collectors more familiar with examples in this condition and was informed that it is actually original condition. As I prefer to run my trains, and some of this set is near mint, I have decided to sell it to someone who can truly appreciate its condition. I usually take pretty good pictures, but they really dont do this set justice. The wheels appear to have some type of dried lubricant on them. The pilot truck seems to be missing a spring as it does not support the front of the locomotive properly for operation on my layout. It is also missing the feedwater pump cap. Lionel 299W UP City of Denver Streamliner Set Yellow Brown Prewar O Gauge X2913

4-unit set, made mid to late 1930s is about 42 long, includes 636W power car, pair 637 coaches, 638 tail car and 3 connecting vestibules. One vestibule has wiring repair and another has a new pick-up, one 637 plate is missing, power car is missing marker and headlight lenses, a handrail, others are bent, otherwise the set looks original/complete. It has wear, mainly edges and details as shown, more wear on power car and most wear on vestibules, as usual. Note that any amount of operation scraped the paint off of the vestibules. The motor ran and reversed, whistle and some lights worked when power car was bench-tested. It would be improved if you restored the vestibules. All Items, including N.
