Includes: Old section of rail for display (no original box). Overall condition is consistent with age and use. Paint wear, scratches, and surface marks throughout. The Lionel r 229 Engine with 1689T Tender is a vintage model train engine produced by Lionel in the United States during the 1940s. This ready-to-go steam locomotive features a classic black color with a 2-4-2 wheel configuration, perfect for collectors and train enthusiasts. The diecast material and 1:48 scale add to the authenticity of this analog-controlled engine, making it a valuable addition to any model railroad collection. I would say the engine in in excellent condition. The Tender is in VG condition. IT was serviced, lubricated, tested and runs well both directions. The e- unit works properly.
