LIONEL LOT OF 9 PIECES OF ROLLING STOCK VERY NICE CONDITION. SOME OF THE BOXES ARE TATTERED AND MISSING SOME TUCK OR INSIDE FLAPS. THE FLAT CARS NEED STEAKS THEY ARE MISSING. ONE CAR HAS NO BOX.
Lionel 260E Vintage O Prewar 2-4-2 Tinplate Steam Locomotive with 260T Tender EX
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. This item functioned when tested however a clicking noise could be heard while this item was being run. There are light nicks and scratches on the surface of the shell and chassis. There are spots of paint loss and discoloration across the surface of the locomotive and tender. There is some discoloration on this item’s metal name plates. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is not included. Please check the photos for a detailed look at this item. Here is a Lionel 260E Vintage O Prewar 2-4-2 Tinplate Steam Locomotive w/ 260T Tender from 1930-34. The engine is complete with all of the copper domes, railing and piping, full compliment of clean driver hardware, headlight, red firebox glow light and brass plates. It has a 3-position E-unit. The tender comes complete with black Type V stamped metal trucks and a latch coupler. Please see my pictures for additional features. All original: minute scratches and paint nicks; no rust or missing parts; no distortion of parts. This train set belonged to my father. I believe that he would have received the set in’31-’34. Stored in climate controlled space always. This classic set, made by the renowned brand Lionel in the United States, features analog control and operates on AC power. Perfect for hobbyists looking to add a piece of history to their collection, this train set showcases the craftsmanship and nostalgia of a bygone era in model railroads. 23 Pieces of Track. Engine 238-E30 & Box. Tender #265W & Box. Boxcar #655 & Box. Oil Tanker #654 & Box. Caboose #657 & Box. Coal Car #653 NO BOX. 1990 MRC Tech II. Misc small Advertising Signs, Parts, Etc. The controller powers the engine and tender. The engine buzzes and bulb lights up, but does not run. The tender whistle receives power but only makes a grinding sound. Almost certainly never lubricated. All track pins connect well. The car boxes are original. Some boxes have torn ends. PLEASE MESSAGE ME WITH QUESTIONS.
