This item has been graded per TCA standards C-5: Good based on visual appearance. There are heavy nicks, scratches, and signs of surface rust present on items included. Additionally, paint shows heavy signs of wear, chipping, and speckles of discoloration from aging. Some items are color bleached and shades of blue do not match anymore. Window liners are original and are foggy, yellowed, and brittle. This item has been inspected by our repair shop. Here is a Lionel 265 Vintage O Prewar Blue Streak Set w/617 618 619 from 1935-40. A unique-looking engine, the 265 headed up several of Lionel’s most popular sets in the mid and late 1930s. The locomotive features metal construction, a motor, a reverse unit, metal side rods and metal wheels. The tender features tinplate construction, a solenoid box coupler, tinplate trucks with black journals and metal wheels. Signs of play wear, scratches, minor paint loss. Small dents, minor rust. Need the slider shoes replaced for the lights. Boxes are sleeves but correctly numbered. This is the cleanest set we have had. All original set of 3 enameled metal articulated cars with 2 vestibules for mid 1930’s Blue Streak Streamliner. Original blue and ivory-white finish is nicer than most, with only light edge wear on 3 cars mainly car ends, more wear, as usual on vestibules, results from running. Cars show some corrosion from moisture, mainly inside cars and on nickel hardware/brackets at ends. 617 center coach has some corrosion/staining that came out from bottom seam, also very light spots one side at window frames, just a few small spots, and around 617 plate. Top of 617 shows some moisture-bubble-texture and very minor flaking. Vestibules need bulbs and there is heavier corrosion on black skirt of 1 vestibule. Cars only, cars are about 32 long coupled together. Hard to find with such nice original finish! All Items, including N. (new-old-stock), are graded and represented as vintage collectibles.
