Lionel 33 Electric Loco Olive 1924 with Super Motor Prewar Standard Gauge X5540

10.25 enameled metal NYC Lines center-cab electric loco is last year of production, 1924. It is original dark olive with red trim and worn gold-stamped lettering. It has a Super Motor, making it a fairly rare variation. Motor has original hand-reverse, pick-up has solder repairs. It has non-original, hand-made couplers and modified strap headlight. Loco is dirty with wear, mostly edges, some minor roof dings, worn/faded lettering. It has bell bracket, bell missing. Loco should improve with cleaning. Motor ran and reversed when bench tested, light did not work. All Items, including N. (new-old-stock), are graded and represented as vintage collectibles. Operational ability and characteristics or completeness of vintage motors, mechanisms, wiring, bulbs etc are not guaranteed. We do not guarantee coupler operation. We try to note any obvious missing parts, defects or restorations in the description. Results are from simple bench-testing to help determine if mechanism is intact. LIONEL PRE WAR No. 8 Engine Set Olive / 347B C7+With Master Carton STUNNING

This Lionel pre-war 347B boxed set is a TRUE GEM for any collection. Collectors PLEASE LOOK Carefully, DO NOT miss out on this one. LIONEL PRE WAR NO. 337 & 338 passenger cars. Steve you would love this one! This set is in excellent condition, and includes a stunning locomotive with light function and directional control. The set comes with its original master carton for safekeeping, which is in a rare fantastic condition that mirrors the sets own condition, adding to the love that this set has been together for the past 95 years! Also each Passenger car and the engine have their original boxes in a gorgeous condition. The power type is AC, and the locomotive features a three-rail system. The wheel configuration is 0-4-0, and the gauge is standard. The set is made of pressed steel, brass, and steel, and was manufactured in 1929 during the vintage time period. The Engine is sporting all original Mechanical hardware. Even still has a coat of golden grease on the gears sealing in the vintage years of its beauty. Wheels have slight cracks on the inside as is very common with these near century old trains. (SEE PHOTO) But are in overall Exceptionally excellent condition. The wheels will turn by hand, and all lights are operating when tested. Would advise new gear grease if you’re possibly going to run this set. The Passenger cars are a true work of art, a testament to a period in time when perfection of a craft was the standard par. With exception of a few small chips in the original olive paint. All wires, lights, pick ups are in well working order. The wheels have such lite signs of wear, it’s hard to say if this set was ever ran around a track at all. Pictures truly do NO justice on this set. Please message me and I will immediately respond with pictures. I have over 100 taken, close ups of the boxes as well.
