LOOK! RARE Pre-War Lionel 2810 Deep Dish Derrick Crane Car TYPE III 1941-1942
PLEASE REVIEW THE PICTURES AS THEY ARE PART OF THE DESCRIPTION!! Box is very worn. This nice example is the very sought after Type III from 1941 – 1942, with black journal boxes, simulated knuckle couplers, and a “Deep Dish” frame. I’ll describe this as “near collector” because close examination shows some touch up paint work and there is a slight amount of oxidation on the rear trucks… Hopefully you can see this in the pictures. The only notable blemishes are the boom elevator and hook retractor knobs. Please note they DO work as does the cab rotation knob. Having pointed these things out…. The crane remains a collector item that is not easy to find…. Especially in the overall condition this crane is. This is in very good condition. The black paint is not bad should look much better with cleaning. The tender is also very nice. The metal parts are rust free. Also i may add to the description this was wrapped up in newspaper and white wrapping tissue paper thats what you see under the bottom their still more sticking on the metal it under bottom corners and more just need to clean it off with some water theirs even black writing from the newspapers black ink that stuck to metal that i pealed off most of it and the lettering from newspaper stuck to metal but will come right off, . Lionel prewar windup #1100 toy train mickey mouse handcar old look rare color
The handcar has the key and does not hold tension as it winds up. The body is up off the frame and its going to need full-on repair to get it back going again. I have both figures missing legs and I only have one base and one set of feet. Everything in the pics is included and the figures are the originals and whats there seems usable for the figures but does need work. I also package well and I use computer generated labels with tracking #’s on all my packaging.
