Made 1930 to 1932. Offered for sale is a vintage c1930-32 Lionel PreWar No. 384E Steam Loco 2-4-0 & No. 384T Tender, with original boxes, that ran when tested, the wheels were replaced and there is some paper tape repair of boxes. When Powered up with 0-18 volts AC current, analog, this engine ran well and lighted. The reverse unit usually worked, but sometimes not. Those early reverse units were not that reliable. PROVENANCE -this engine comes from the New Oxford PA Train Museum, which was run for many years by Fred Gable, he leased the old Western Maryland Railroad Station in New Oxford. Unfortunately, Fred passed not long ago at age 95. This engine was part of the museum display. Original Boxes – Includes original Loco & Tender Boxes. They look in good overall shape with 2 missing flaps and some paper tape repairs, as pictured. Overall, this Loco & Tender Set look in excellent shape with no damage noted.
