Lionel Prewar O Gauge 249E Steam Locomotive & 265W Tender. This engine was tested and ran well with working whistle tender as shown in the video. The E-unit is a little sticky. The engine does need a small repair on the front. A new replacement part is included with the engine. Please view the pictures for more details and feel free to ask any questions.

This prewar 249E and tender have been completely restored. It looks fantastic and runs too. I didn’t do the restoration but the person who did did a fantastic job. The attention to detail. All the bright work lights decals are spot on. The only thing missing is the bar to attach the tender is missing. It is truly a beautiful piece. This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good. The locomotive’s cab has been custom painted. The locomotive and tender show pitting throughout various sections of the shell. These items show scratches and spots of paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. These items show spots of rust on the chassis and trucks. The overall appearance of each item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. This item has been inspected by our repair shop. Please see the attached picture for inspection details and additional operation information. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is not included.
