Item: Lionel Prewar Locomotive. If no photo of a box there is No Box. Description: Lionel PREWAR 226E & 2226W Diecast Tender. Good condition diecast boiler. Tender shell slightly warped. Still looks and fits OK. Very little corrosion or oxidation but VERY high mileage loco. Runs OK but sometimes a slight squeal. Like all large, heavy diecast steam engines of this era, it is designed to run on higher voltages from larger transformers. Rebuilt e-unit, replaced drum. WRONG FRONT PILOT CASTING Replacement does not fit well. Boiler face doesn’t clip closed. Chunk out of trailing truck wheel. Whistle motor cleaned, sounds OK but has rattle. Tender MISSING front steps. One hand rail stanchion broken. Please examine photos carefully. Photos: These are photos of the actual item unless noted on the photo.
