Very Nice Lionel Original Prewar BOXED Gunmetal #400E Loco and Tender. Includes #400E Loco, #400T Tender, both in the early dark gunmetal color with copper trim, and both original boxes. Both pieces are all original with no repaint ever. This is an excellent example of this desirable loco! Both have wonderful paint that is clean, shiny, and displays great. Both have very light wear with only a couple small scratches. The loco has a couple small touchups to the end of the cab roof, which blend perfectly. The loco has all original wheels. All trim is intact on both. The loco number boards are replaced, as is usual with these locos. The tender box is correctly marked with all flaps, in very nice condition. The loco box has all flaps, and was used as a shipper, but is correctly marked 400 on the inside flap. It is nearly impossible to find these locos with original frame, steam chests, air tanks, and boiler front, as this loco has! Please examine photos as they are the best description.
