A beautiful prewar Lionel passenger set from 1934, with original boxes and set box!! The Lionel 234E Passenger Set comes with the 259E locomotive and tender, a 602 baggage car, a 600 Pullman car and a 601 Observation car. The set has some use, but is in excellent condition. There are a few minor scratches on the roofs and very minimal wear on the sides. The observation car has some rust on one axle. The interiors are clean and look like new. Two of the boxes are missing one end flap. For being 86 years old, this set is a beauty! You can find this engine and the cars, but very difficult to find them in this condition with original boxes AND the set box in such good shape. Id be happy to send more pictures if youd like. NOTE: Ive received several emails already in just a short time Ive posted this set regarding the condition of the set. I have found no indication that this is a restored set. I acquired this set from a larger collection recently and the original owner had many prewar sets in both O gauge and standard gauge that were in excellent shape and original condition. The condition of the locomotive, tender and the cars along with the original set box being in such good condition gives me high confidence that this is in original condition.
