If my price seems high I want you to know that I usually put 6-14 hours of labor restoring it to the condition it is at now. If you want one cheaper you may have to repair it and its costly. Engine runs great and all lights work. See LAST TWO pictures of it running. Antique Vintage Lionel 80+ years old. One of the few left. I just finish going over it. It wasn’t running and missing some part. Some new parts, New wires, Has the. Reveres and works great. I test ran it for 15 Min. Added the missing parts and serviced it. They have been restored in the past by someone. Looks like a coat of over spray or clear was also put on them. All good wheel & couplers in good condition. Two cars have new wire to lights. No light in the baggage car. Best I can do to explain there condition. Paint job OK but not perfect. I do not know who or when it was restored by. Found these cars at a estate sale. Antique Vintage Lionel 80+ years old. One of the few left I had just finished restoring. I just finish going over it. It wasn’t running and missing some part. The engine was in terrible shape. Tender looks original and close in color. Most original parts cleaned and used. Had to replace some others. One of the best I heard. I serviced it, Some new parts, Some new wires, Has the. Reveres and works great. I test ran it for 15 Min. Added the missing parts and serviced it. I have a 263 WT to go with it. Tested the whistle and it worked. Running out of engines and tenders. I was probably restored in the past 80 years. Some new wire ans adjustment to the e-unit got it running now. I test ran it for 15 Min and it reversed. Added the missing parts and serviced it. LIONEL-Prewar 263E Blue Comet Engine. Only Restored Antique Read description

If my price seems high I want you to know that I usually put 6-14 hours of labor restoring it to the condition it is at now. If you want one cheaper you may have to repair it and its costly. The engine was a prior project that someone tried to restore. Many missing pieces plus broken frame. Since I have still a lot of parts left I bought it. It did have a great motor and most. The paint was terrible. I had to strip all the paint and get a new. I used Lionel Blue Comet both Light for the shell and dark for the frame. Had to use many new parts I had. It is now a nice looking and running Blue Comet engine. I do not have a tender for it. Would make a nice set. Not even charging for labor. Just a HOBBY TO KEEP ME OUT OF TROUBLE.
