The locomotive has its original box along with the box insert which is fairly difficult to find for this model. Both the box and insert have some wear as there are some small tears and some stains, but is pretty good considering it is prewar. Also has a few pages of a manual of some sort, but the binding has come loose and some of the pages are missing. The locomotive will run going forward only as the e-unit seems to be bad. It does run going forward pretty well. There is no chugger if there was one. It also has a operating headlight along with a red glow under the cab. Both the tender and locomotive have some paint wear but overall is quite nice. The model is missing a few things; the flags, a pick-up roller, a railing stanchion on the boiler side, railing on the front pilot, and a screw to hold the cow catcher. On the tender, the ladder piece is slightly bent, please view the photos. This is still a great looking prewar train overall as it does run but only forward. Lionel Corp Standard Gauge.
