Lionel Train Station #116 Prewar Lionel City Exc. Here is a vintage Lionel station #116 not the MHT replica. This was made around 1940. It is the rare green/ cream colored version. The station has some light wear to the paint. It does have all 8 working doors, has all the steel windows. Has all the heavy steel vent screens. It has the roof with the metal vents and braces. Has both clocks on each side. Has both original bulbs in front. Has the automatic train controller. No dents to the metal. Nothing is wired up to test bulbs or workings with a train. Over 80 years old. Says on the bottom “No 116 station made by the Lionel Corporation New York”. It is quite large at 19.5 inches long and rare. This is the real deal. This engine was tested and runs very well. This is a collectors grade loco with almost no rust and very little wear. I did not test the whistle function in the tender. These are in good condition. The paint shows wear and there are a few minor dents. All the lights work except the center light in the 426 CAR. I had to disconnect it because it was soldered in wrong and was causing a short. It is a fairly easy fix, I just don’t have time to repair it. We believe in good old-fashioned customer service! The hopper doors have been replaced. No significant scratches, dings or rust. Graphics are in good condition. Some minor paint loss on top outer edge. Heavy weighs 1 lb. Nice piece and a very rare find.
