Here we have a gorgeous example of the 238E lionel prewar gunmetal torpedo steam engine, this is the type 2 made in 1936-37 only which came with the 265w tender. This one has no breaks or damage, looks to have very little run time. Original engine box is really nice with all flaps, even has a sear roebuck sticker which I thought was pretty cool. The tender box is rough missing all end flaps but still nice to have. Some minute nicks and rubs but over all beautiful condition and a strong C7, many would give it a C8. I want to point out that the left side marker light moves some, may have been attempted to be repaired with a dot of glue years ago. Not a big deal but want to mention everything.
