Even the new parts do not fit and have to be modified. It is a very nice Lionel 253 Peacock refurbished. Shell maybe original, frame repainted, Great condition. I had clean all the brass, Great wheels, serviced and rewired, Cleaned manual switch, lights, Lube and replace brushes. Black frame gold inserts cleaned and repainted nice. Tried to keep as many original parts as possible. Runs great is both directions. See three pictures of it running. Has been serviced, Tested and runs. See picture running is forward and reverse.
