Scarce Lionel Original Prewar Dark Green Set #348E. Includes #380E Loco, #429 Baggage/Pullman Car, #428 Pullman Car, #490 Observation, all in dark green with orange trim, and one original box for the #428 box. All pieces are all original with no touchup or repaint ever. These sets are incredibly hard to find in nice condition, as the green paint showed scratches easily. This set is in very nice, much better than most condition. It has bright, clean and shiny paint, with crisp lettering, and a few scratches throughout. The set would grade a very nice C6+. The loco is the much harder to find “weighted” version, that features two brass weights on each end of the cab, to help allow the loco to pull the larger 400 series passenger cars. The loco has original wheels, which are chipped and would need to be replaced in order to run. The cars feature the much harder to find and more desirable orange window trim, as opposed to the maroon. All 3 cars have their oil labels underneath. The original box for the #428 is correctly marked, with all flaps and has a couple tears. Please examine photos as they are the best description. Many collectors would search a long time to find this set in better condition! Great addition to anyones collection, do not miss it!
