Lionel PreWar #260E Loco, #260T 12 Wheel Tender , TWO # 710 12 Wheel Two-Tone BLUE Pullman Passenger Cars, one #712 12 Wheel Observation Car with original Boxes. The entire set is most probably from 1933 due to: 260E Loco has “Chugger” feature with 3 position E unit, 260T Tender has 12 Wheels, AND the Valuable TWO-TONE BLUE set of 12 Wheel Passenger Premium Passenger Cars were first made in’33 (plus also in’34 before being discontinued). So it is a rewheeled Loco and rewired completely inside. Cars light, loco runs well and chugger works as designed. Eunit has been reliable, but sometimes “moody”… If one would want to actually run this “tough to find” Set. BOXES: 260E top flap taped inside, very solid with full, firm insert (see photos). 260T Tender box is not taped, has good lettering and solid. Both 710 boxes are missing end flaps and others, while 712 has one end flap (per photo)… They are “as is”. The only real scratch or “battle scar” is on the tender where the cab roof rubbed off the black paint – this is shown on the last photo.
