+6This is a very nice Red 252 Lionel engine. Has reversing switch (manual) with lever on top. Run great in both directions. Bought this as a partial restore project someone had but never finished it. Lots of problems and needed painting. Need wires, wheels, repaired switch, brushes, and cleaned. Brass trim was all original and in very nice shape. Now it is a very attractive in demand engine. If my price seems high I want you to know that I usually put 6-10 hours of labor restoring it to the condition it is at now. If you want one cheaper you may have to repair it and its costly. I price them for what I have in them. I list them for what I have in them. This is a hobby to bring the oldies back to life since they are my age. This engine came to me with a nice cab but paint was worn off and motor needing repairs, plus missing parts. It is over 90+ years old. I did restore the cab. Then cleaned all the original parts that I could. I replaced what was needed. New wires brushes if need etc. It is lubed serviced and bench tested. Ran engine on oval track for 10 min.
