16.5 long diecast Wide Gauge 4-4-2 loco, made early 1930s is mostly original/complete. It has original glossy-black finish with teal stripe on running boards, American Flyer plates on cab. Loco has boiler-front with cast-in visor over headlight and embossed 4692. It has gold centers on front pony wheels, black centers on drive wheels and rear ponies, mostly brass trim, single-type drive rods. Bell trim and one handrail on pilot are replacements, has part of chain but is missing coupling peg. Trim may be incomplete. Shiny original finish has light wear and a few dull spots, mainly where copper pipe crosses brass handrail, also tarnish on that trim, light corrosion/wear on cast iron cylinders. It ran and hand-reversed when tested with lever in cab, appears to have distant-control reverse, but I did not test it. Includes worn/vintage lift-top box with no visible number or data on it. Loco only, no tender. All Items, including N. (new-old-stock), are graded and represented as vintage collectibles. Operational ability and characteristics or completeness of vintage motors, mechanisms, wiring, bulbs etc are not guaranteed. We do not guarantee coupler operation. We try to note any obvious missing parts, defects or restorations in the description. Results are from simple bench-testing to help determine if mechanism is intact. Digital photography may distort image. The item is straight unless noted otherwise in the listing. WHEN PURCHASING MULTIPLE ITEMS, PLEASE PLACE ALL ITEMS IN SHOPPING CART.
