Set of 3 enameled metal 8.75 cars, pullmans and observation, were made mid 1930’s for a Quackenbush Hardware store special set. Cars would go with your 261E or 262E loco, are original terra cotta with cream inserts, stamped lettering, maroon roofs. They are illuminated, have copper journals on spring-embossed trucks, truck clips are 1934 and later type. They have latch couplers, clear window plastic and are illuminated. Original finish has wear, mainly roofs and edges/corners, lettering is mostly readable, a few wear spots. Rare and attractive set of cars, can be quite hard to find. All Items, including N. (new-old-stock), are graded and represented as vintage collectibles. Operational ability and characteristics or completeness of vintage motors, mechanisms, wiring, bulbs etc are not guaranteed.
