Electric fan is suitable for wall mounting or placing on a desk or night stand. It consists of four metal blades with uniquely designed metal cage plus cast metal base and motor housing. Marked with the Lionel logo on the front, this fan was given to employees of Lionel Corp. 1930’s I believe, but I read that they were first made in 1910/1911. This is a heavy metal fan. Total size(s) 10″ Tall, Fan Casing is 8 “” x 8 “” and the base is 4 1/2″ x 4 1/2. Offered for sale in as-is estate condition with age & use appropriate wear present throughout. It is believed to be completely original. The cord is in very rough shape; therefore, the fan has not been tested. The outer coating of the cord is dry rotted leaving the wire visible in may places. One side of the wire has broken off from the plug – which has Lionel imprinted on it. A small portion of the original paper label is present on the bottom. The hinge which allows the fan to tilt forward or backwards seems loose as it does not hold positions when tilted back.
