Prewar 225E with 2224W whistle Tender and three red 2600 series passenger cars. The Locomotive is Ex with no deep scratches, casting defects or rust. One left side railing stanchion is broken. Locomotive ran perfectly in F/N/R. The Tender is Ex. No casting defects, all steps present. When I tested it the whistle hummed but did not work. The whistle will likely need a light servicing. The 2600 Pullman, 2601 Observation and 2602 Baggage Cars are all EX+. Beautiful colors and rubber stampings. Roofs are removable with all cars having interior lighting. This set originally came with a 2235W (or 2235T) Tender. The 2224W is identical except for the number stamped on bottom and drawbar. Based on the hood coupler design, this set is from 1938/39. Set had sat in storage for many years prior to me acquiring it. Lionel manufactured this set from 1938-42. Please see photos as they are the best description.
