This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. Both the locomotive and tender show signs of heavy nicks, scratches, and surface rust. Additionally, the paint and lettering on both items show heavy wear, chipping, and fading. Most lettering however is still legible. Latch piece from the box couplers are missing and not included. Some of the marker jewels have been replaced and are not original. Some jewels are still missing and not included. This item has been inspected by our repair shop. Please see the attached picture for inspection details and additional operation information. The instruction manuals and original boxes are not included with these items. GREENBERG’S GUIDE TO LIONEL TRAINS 1901-1942 4 Volumes Prewar Accessories

Included in the lot are the following paperbacks. Books are in VERY GOOD to NEAR FINE condition with some shelf wear. PLEASE refer to pictures for more detailed information on condition. Thank you for considering these book and, as always. Long winded COPY AND PASTE explanation about boring, logistical stuff written in MID JULY of the year of our Lord, 2025. The ILLUMINATED LIBRARYT is a one man operation out of a small 2-bedroom monastery in search of cool books and other interesting paper goods. As you may have noticed I make listing more interesting by inserting jokes in the descriptions and generally pretending to be a medieval monk. Sometimes I even doodle a weird little guy on it. Just like medieval monks used to do. Might make a fun gift?? for a friend who likes books. Even if that friend is yourself. I have three small children and a day job. This doesn’t make me special but sometimes it turns out to be a difficult 2-3 days. Are you still reading? Let me tell you about my packing strategy. I place your book into a nucleus of soft cushy protection using successive layers of wrapping paper, bubble wrap, kraft paper and sometimes even pool noodles. The nucleus is then enclosed in a tough cell wall of a corrugated cardboard box. God bless’em but I know post office employees are chucking boxes around in the back room. Not at the local office where I drop them off. Those are all lovely people. I primarily use recycled boxes and paper as a small contribution towards saving the Earth. If your book arrives in a box from amazon or a diaper box please understand that you are helping me save the earth. I try my best to describe everything as accurately as possible but continue to make mistakes. PLEASE MESSAGE ME IF I MAKE A MISTAKE. You wouldn’t let a brother look like a fool would you? I think these books look? SUPER AWESOME? On the shelves of the monastery. I think they would look? SUPER AWESOME? On your shelf too. Even if it’s not in a monastery. S – if you’ve read this far then maybe you are crazy enough to check out the other books I’ve got in the Library.

LIONEL PREWAR No. 249E 2-4-2 Gunmetal Steam Locomotive 265T TENDER VIDEO

249E Steam Locomotive and No. This pair was produced just prior to WWII from 1936 – 1939. The locomotive & Tender seem to be original and it shows some wear. The color is Gunmetal. There is a little light surface rust mainly around the trucks. It is also missing one of the tender’s back grab rails. The locomotive runs very well. With a lot of power. It easily pulls a five car prewar 800 series train. You can see this nice pair pull that full train on YouTube. They come in Custom Label Lionel Boxes.
