Vintage Lionel O Gauge Pre-War Pullman Passenger Coach Tinplate c. 1928-1938

This is a classic tinplate passenger car with original lithographed / painted body, metal trucks, and desirable surviving details that collectors look for. Type: Pullman passenger coach. Material: Lithographed / painted tin body with metal trucks. Original interior: Appears present. Original lubrication / instruction decal: Present (excellent sign of originality). Includes: Old section of rail for display (no original box). Overall condition is consistent with age and use. Paint wear, scratches, and surface marks throughout. Lionel Pre-War No. 8E locomotive and 3 cars

8E locomotive and 3 cars. A very nice pre-war train set. Look at the phots and ask questions. I tested with a Variac at the proper AC voltage and it ran. I do not have the track of proper controller to test further. Looks like it was serviced in 1987 and stored since (see last photo).

The Lionel r 229 Engine with 1689T Tender is a vintage model train engine produced by Lionel in the United States during the 1940s. I would say the engine in in excellent condition. The Tender is in VG condition. IT was serviced, lubricated, tested and runs well both directions. The e- unit works properly. American flyer wide gauge standard prewar boxed set

Loco has original wheels, not warped, one of which is a little loose on axle but runs just fine. Runs in both directions, headlights switch with direction. Boxes are square and strong, water stains on main box. Missing the baggage car box.
