Original pre-war Lionel No. 97 electric coal elevator accessory. The motor energizes and produces a steady hum when power is applied, indicating current reaches the motor assembly. The bucket elevator mechanism does not rotate and appears to require cleaning, lubrication, and/or servicing after long-term storage.
