Lionel 16 Ballast Dump Car Green Maroon Prewar standard gauge X7416

10.5 enameled metal side-dumping car was made late teens to early 1920’s. It is original dark green with maroon trim and I-Beam frame. Note that hook couplers are correctly painted maroon with the frame. Car has gold stamped lettering Pennsylvania 65784. Bin is loose from frame at 1 end, movement may loosen the other end, so will be careful. Also the ratchet-rack at 1 end for one bin door is missing. Finish has light dirt, some dull spots, all good readable lettering. Bin doors have light wear, side skirts have a bit more wear and some corrosion-dull spots. Trucks have corrosion as shown. Car should improve with cleaning. All Items, including N. (new-old-stock), are graded and represented as vintage collectibles. Operational ability and characteristics or completeness of vintage motors, mechanisms, wiring, bulbs etc are not guaranteed. We do not guarantee coupler operation. We try to note any obvious missing parts, defects or restorations in the description. Results are from simple bench-testing to help determine if mechanism is intact. THIS IS PREWAR LOT OF ORIGINAL LIONEL BOXES: THE LOT INCLUDES. ONE 1685V PULLMAN AND ONE 1687V OBSERVATION BOX. BOTH ARE COMPLETE AND IN THE C6-7 AREA. SOME TAPE ON BOXES. A 616W LOCO BOX FOR THE FLYING YANKEE STREAMLINER. A BOX FOR THE 2817 CABOOSE. THIS BOX IS C6. IT HAS A COUPLE OF TUCK FLAPS MISSING. A617 COACH BOX. THE END FLAP AND TUCK FLAPS ARE OFF ON ONE END, BUT PRESENT. A 1700E LOCO BOX COMPLETE WITH ALL FLAPS. Lionel Prewar No. 226E & 2226W Diecast Tender /8/ 1938-41

Item: Lionel Prewar Locomotive. If no photo of a box there is No Box. Description: Lionel PREWAR 226E & 2226W Diecast Tender. Good condition diecast boiler and tender. No corrosion or rust inside or out. Like all large, heavy diecast steam engines of this era, it is designed to run on higher voltages from larger transformers. Rebuilt e-unit, replaced drum. Whistle motor cleaned, sounds good. Tender MISSING front steps. One hand rail stanchion broken. Please examine photos carefully. Photos: These are photos of the actual item unless noted on the photo. Item: Lionel Prewar Locomotive. If no photo of a box there is No Box. Description: Lionel PREWAR 225E & 2235W Diecast Tender. Diecast tender body has surface tarnish/oxidation. Missing decorative boiler whistle. Motor runs well, cleaned lubed. But like all large, heavy diecast steam engines of this era, it is designed to run on higher voltages from larger transformers. Valve gear looks new. Possibly wrong valve gear (binding). Whistle in tender works very well. Please examine photos carefully. Photos: These are photos of the actual item unless noted on the photo.
