Up for consideration is a nice set of Vintage Metal Lionel Lines Pre War Tender 1689W 1121-C 1682 1679 1680 2677 Lot. Items are in good condition for age but have corrosion, staining, wear. The tender wire insulation underneath is worn off would need new wire soldered in its place or tape where it goes through frame-BUT the tender whistles! I took it apart and cleaned the brushes and armature, and oiled the shafts. The wheels/contacts have some corrosion and could be cleaned more, I just cleaned them enough to work. The switcher/controller is untested-the wire insulation is brittle, broken, exposed-would need new wiring, see photos.. My standard listing lingo, please read in its entirety. Any defects not mentioned in the description, but are visible in the photos, are deemed to have been disclosed. As with any vintage item, it may need cleaning/service to run perfectly and increase longevity. No low or half price offers will be accepted. This item has been graded per TCA standards (Restored/Repainted) R-3: Good based on visual appearance. This locomotive has been re-painted. The shell shows a few spots of thick scrapes that are pretty deep into the shell. One pf the poles on the rear platform is heavily bent and the other piece is missing. This locomotive shows scratches and paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. This locomotive shows rust on the chassis and trucks. This item has been inspected by our repair shop. Please see the attached picture for inspection details and additional operation information. Previous owner has installed MEW reproduction wheels.
