Antique Lionel Engine restored by me Completely. I have two listed same type. Lot of time and cost in new parts. NEW PICK UPS, NEW WHEELS. Very nice Lionel Early 248 Nice Prewar/Antique Vintage Lionel Green with Gold inserts, Tin Plate engine Rare type, The 248 only runs in forward. That is how Lionel made it. Has the 248 a die cast head light. I restored the frame and cab and added parts needed. Try to use original parts if I have them. It was really dirty when I got it. I cleaned it, Primed it and painted it. Good wire, Serviced it and it runs great. Made 1927-32 antique/Vintage toy train. With all the trim parts, I tested it. It runs great in only one directions. This type engine only runs in forward only. Look at the pictures and ask questions. Wheels are all new, New wires where needed.. Very nice antique Lionel for you layout or shelf. Sell for what I have in them. See video of it running. If you want one cheaper you may have to restore or repair it your self. Lots of work involved believe me.
