This sale is for a very well presenting Lionel prewar 300 Hellgate Bridge. This is the early, 1920’s-30’s version. The sale will include the original box (what’s left of it) Box is missing one end and has seen better days. The bridge itself has no glaring damage to speak of. In my opinion, the bridge looks to have possibly had some paint restoration. The green and orange sections show some small areas of paint drips/ripples (small) and some of the orange on the bottom of the bridge looks as if it might have transferred to a few small areas which would lead me to believe it was from a touch up. If the bridge had paint work, the person who did it, did a very nice job (once again my opinion) Bridge retains original paint scheme. Looks as if the bridge had some use, as there is some typical expected wear in the usual areas. There is some paint wear here and there. Probability of two new screws on the top of the footings. One of the footing tops has a corner which rises slightly. Badges present very nicely. Bridge was made for Standard & O. Measures 28 3/4″ long, 10 3/4″ deep and 10 1/4 tall (at it’s highest point) This is a well preserved 90 year old prewar bridge. Bridge looks nice “as is” and would make a great addition to anyone looking for this rare original. If you are looking for perfect, please keep looking. I will not throw an arbitrary grade on the bridge as I’m not a professional grader. I will package bridge inside original box and than surround with another box. I will do my best to conserve original box, however as I stated it is a bit crust already. Please feel free to ask questions.
