Item: Lionel Prewar Locomotive. If no photo of a box there is No Box. Description: Lionel PREWAR 226E & 2226W Diecast Tender. Good condition diecast boiler. Tender shell slightly warped. Still looks and fits OK. Very little corrosion or oxidation but VERY high mileage loco. Runs OK but sometimes a slight squeal. Like all large, heavy diecast steam engines of this era, it is designed to run on higher voltages from larger transformers. Rebuilt e-unit, replaced drum. WRONG FRONT PILOT CASTING Replacement does not fit well. Boiler face doesn’t clip closed. Chunk out of trailing truck wheel. Whistle motor cleaned, sounds OK but has rattle. Tender MISSING front steps. One hand rail stanchion broken. Please examine photos carefully. Photos: These are photos of the actual item unless noted on the photo. However it has a slight wobble while running and gear noise. I think the wheels need reset. It ran great on my layout. Very nice as seen in pics.

The Lionel Post War 1615 Engine & Tender is a vintage model steam locomotive and tender in black color, manufactured in 1955 by Lionel in the United States. This 1:48 scale replica features a 0-4-0 wheel configuration and is part of the Three-Rail System. With both the engine and tender intact and in excellent condition, this pre-built unit is a collector’s item for enthusiasts of model railroads and trains, offering a nostalgic look at transportation from the mid-20th century. The loco box is missing the outer flap on one side. The tender box only has the outer shell left. The flaps are all missing. The engine is in excellent condition with a few minor wear spots.
