I think this set dates between the mid 1900s to the mid 1920s. It was produced by Lionel. This set can be used as a restoration project and/ or parts. The overall condition of the set is pretty rough. You can see the condition issues in the photos. The paint is flaking off, there’s scratches, and dents. It’s missing pieces. I wasn’t sure if it’d work or not. Everything is original and doesn’t come with the original box. Picked this set up at a local flea market. I hope someone will repair and restore this set back to its former glory. Thank you for looking at my listing!

Look at the wheels, very clean with almost no. Sign of decay or deterioration. I even got a decent. Shot of the copper coil inside that looks. This is untested but. Lionel 249e Prewar Locomotive w/2265W Tender. This is a matching pair thats been gently cleaned, sanitized, completely serviced and test operated. The Locomotive motor has been serviced and it runs very smoothly in forward and reverse. The headlamp functions as depicted in the photos. Cosmetically the paint is very nice with only some minor nicks and scratches, all the nickel trim is intact and in excellent condition. The Tender trucks have been serviced and rewired and the whistle motor has been serviced and the whistle is very good. Cosmetically it has some scratches and missing paint on the front of the chassis but no dents , and the nickel handrails and ladder are all intact. Thank You for your interest.
